This is another box I made from Dogwood that was cut off the dam at Salem Lake (Winston-Salem NC) The is a much lighter wood.

This is what I like ot do when I have a chance. I like to make small items like this box. It is made from Dogwood that was cut out of my neighbors yard last year. The wood is darker than most Dogwood from this area, I think it must be from the acid soil.

Tapered French Rolling Pin

This one is made of Heart Pine, It is 18 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 in diameter. I turned it on a Jet 1220 Lathe.
